Review on πŸ“± DTTO iPad Mini 5th Generation 2019 Case - Noble Series Leather Folio Cover with Apple Pencil Holder - Blue by Chris Kidd

Requires Labor: Cases

Good: The material is excellent. I like the elastic that can be used to keep it closed. I also like that you can put your hand through the loop to get a better grip. I love the pen holder for my Apple Pencil. The Bad: Switching to landscape mode doesn't work very well. The groove needs to be deeper and thinner to better hold the iPad. Too often it just slips off when you tap it lightly. Ugly: The iPad Mini's single speaker isn't great. (Frankly, it sucks.) But this case makes it MUCH WORSE. It needs to be redone so that the sound is redirected from the speaker to the front of the screen. A simple design change can EASILY make this a better case. Unfortunately, the DTTO housing blocks the speaker even more, directing sound AWAY from you. You're forced to put your hand behind the speaker area just to attract better sound. BAD, BAD DESIGN! All in all, if you just want to read something or surf the web, one case will suffice. But if you want to set it up for watching movies. look elsewhere or get an iPad Pro (as the Pro has a better selection of iPad cases).

Pros
  • Stable Stand Mode - Multiple internal slots allow you to set multiple horizontal stand angles for comfortable real-time typing.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
