So this filter really works, but overall the design is pretty cheap. I bought it because it can work in an aquarium as it can be submerged in water (other filters are usually only for square aquariums). I have 4 tanks and 2 filters have been in 2 tanks for a few days and the water in the other tanks seems cloudy compared to the other 2 tanks with filters. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because the hose inlet and air stone outlet ports don't seal well so I used sealing tape to get a good seal and now they work fine with no leaks. I also think that pumping too hard can destroy the carbon in the filter and release a black cloud into your tank, but that won't happen to me due to the pump I chose. I paired this filter with an "aPump Maxi Air Pump" that I also bought from Revain. This is my recommendation. Also left a review on this pump (it's pretty cool). I hope that was helpful.
