I really wanted to like it but my experience with it was a complete disappointment. The problem lies in the installation. The idea is that you mount it in your car's seat rail. You loosen the bolt that attaches the seat rail to the vehicle frame, insert the bracket adapter under that bolt, and then retighten, reattaching the seat rail while securing the bracket. Sounds good. I have four cars. It won't work with any of them. For various reasons.1. There is no screw that can be removed in my Toyota Camry. The rail is attached to the frame with a fixed screw that does not come loose from above. You can unhook it under the car and I would consider doing that (I have a hydraulic lift to lift my cars and work safely). Another issue, however, is the decorative plastic cover that covers and hides the entire area of the shutter. You have to pull everything out and it won't look like it at all. 2. My Chevy Suburban does not have an accessible seat track. The rail is built into a plastic compartment that contains and hides all the wiring for the automatic seat and heated seats. You can't get to the rail, the car needs to be disassembled.3. My Ford F150 has an accessible seat track with a large screw that is easy to loosen. But this latch is built into a recess. It is embedded in the metal body of the rail in such a way that NONE of the included adapters can interact. And they ship a bunch of adapters. Sigh. None worked and I tried. It was actually the obvious thing to get this thing to work. My Kia Here I was very optimistic. Easy access to rail screw. The adapter fits perfectly in the rail. But since the Kia rail is set up, if you adjust the seat to a slightly forward-facing position, the seat will move over where the bolt sits. I'm a tall guy so that won't be a problem for me. But my wife is small. As she gets into the car, she lifts the seat and with a crunch the seat slams right into this bracket! As far as I can tell, the whole idea is wrong. I understand the problem everyone has with mounting these heavy iPads is that you have to mount it to something REALLY secure or it will be junk. So the seating plan sounds like a plan. But in my experience I had 0 out of 4 for it to work. I'm giving it two stars because it might work for your particular machine. To be honest I was near two of my cars. Look closely at the seat track and screw and how your adjustable seat interacts with the screw (does the seat move over it when in the forward position?). If it passes those tests, it might work for you.
