We've wanted some kind of shade solution for our small backyard patio area for a long time and this was the perfect thing for us. Let me be clear that this shade does not block 100% of the sun and it's not waterproof, but neither of those were a requirement for us. It acts sort of like a really strong diffuser for the sun, which we actually really like. It cuts the harshness of the sun but still allows a lot of light through. We purchased the hardware kit from the same seller and I highly recommend that. I price-checked all the individual pieces at the hardware store, and it's significantly cheaper to buy from them. For someone who's somewhat competent with a drill, you can have this installed in about a half hour. Would definitely purchase again!
