Funny story. I have a bunch of 3-way flashlights at home from different manufacturers with different lighting. I noticed that you don't do all three levels of brightness - it seemed so. It seemed to go low, medium, and low again. So I bought this bulb and it worked just like the broken one I had. Other reviews say it's medium high and then low, but the first and third brightness levels are very similar and the average brightness level really doesn't look like 150W to me. So I really think it's going to be 50-100-50. Anyway I bought this new bulb and it behaved the same as the previous one so I thought the bulb was broken so I bought a new three pin socket for the lamp - same behavior. It was only then that I was smart enough to replace the lightbulb with a Philips brand lightbulb from another lightbulb and discovered that my new lightbulb was the problem. After reading the reviews, many people say that their lightbulb is not working. Anyway, they gave him good grades. I consider that a disadvantage. I sent it back and ordered a replacement from FEIT.
