I am writing this review from the point of view of the simplest user who is not very tech savvy. I can get by (in the sense that I can tweak most things and understand how the basics work), but I'm not the kind of person who's going to delve into a lot of technical data or make head-to-head comparisons with others. Products based on these specifications. So with this restriction. I needed a monitor that could be used with my laptop for work and also when I wanted to stream TV/movies. Also, my nephews come and sometimes use it for gaming purposes. All of these use cases are well supported. My new flat screen TV does have a better picture - that's to be expected and I'd be very unhappy if it didn't given its primary purpose! But it works great as a backup. I found the setup quite easy and smooth, especially when switching between devices.
