I have decided to cut the pre-installed clip on the plug that came with my low voltage track lights and use these DryConn connectors instead. Much better and more secure connection. And safe for direct burial. I used 14 gauge landscape wire and my lights had 18 gauge wires. The MAXIMUM capacity for these connectors is (2) 14 gauge wire and (1) 18 gauge wire stranded together. The silicone will leak, this is normal and part of the design. If you're using 12 gauge wire, use larger connectors.
