We often find that our LG convection oven takes longer to cook than stated on the packaging. If the instructions said "Cook at 400 degrees for 30 minutes" and we did just that, our food wouldn't be fully cooked. We happened to see a cooking show on TV promoting a CDN DOT2 ProAccurate Oven Thermometer. When it arrived we checked our oven and were shocked to see how inaccurate its digital readings were. I say "inaccurate" because the CDN has proven itself. Following the example above, cooking at 400 degrees as shown by the CDN is sufficient. The digital readings of our oven significantly overestimate the temperature of the oven. This product has proven to be a win-win. The oven cooks dishes perfectly and we don't have to guess how long it takes for the dishes to cook.
