I've just started learning to juggle and often drop it. Nothing happened to them, but I'm not being rude to them. I exercise about 15 minutes a day in my room and when they fall they end up on the carpet so they can have a good life. The weight is good and I don't see a real problem but then again I don't use them a few hours a day and most of the time they end up on carpet so take that into account. I could see the potential for breakage if you tamper with it a lot.
