Review on Install Reduced Lead Aerator Adapter 10525 by Jeremy Black

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Revain wins again with kitchen sink aerators

When none of the included adapters worked for my faucet mounted polyurethane filter and a trip to the hardware store told me the exact adapter I needed (the one they have wasn't), I did emailed PUR support with lots of photos as they promise to ship you the correct adapter for free. So they replied: "Thank you for your answer. Please note that your faucet bracket has built-in threads and can be attached directly to your sink without an adapter. The specifications you requested are exactly the size of this mounting adapter. First of all, we recommend screwing the faucet counterclockwise onto the sink without an adapter. If that doesn't work and you still need these adapters, email us and we'll be happy to send you an adapter expansion kit with three alternative adapters." So PUR is doubly wrong. First, their filter would be installed if the faucet would have a MALE thread and a FEMALE thread. Hence the need for a male to male adapter. Second, no one attaches anything to anything and turns it counter-clockwise (unless the left thread is involved, but that is a whole different story).Anyway, I replied and asked again for my free adapter as a backup for the future. We'll see if PUR support does the right thing.Meanwhile, Revain DID brought the correct adapter and I'm happily enjoying my filtered water.
