I bought these because I'm 7 months pregnant and I work on my feet 9 hours a day (no housework). I got varicose veins on my upper calf and mid-thigh in addition to some nice bright red hot legs at the end of the day. I used to wear compression stockings after vein work, but they had a higher compression rate and a smaller size, so I decided to get a new pair. I checked the size chart and bought size Lg. I found the instructions on how to dress very easy to follow. I followed the method shown and put it on with no problems. The bandage on the thigh is quite tight, but doesn't pinch. I only deducted 1 star because they don't stop at 5'8 where the ad is shown. They nestle snugly against my buttocks and drive my butt crazy. In combination with a long shirt, this is no problem. They work fantastic and my feet are no longer swollen or tired at the end of the day.
