This is a good fan! It's powerful. I left it on the lowest setting, was able to watch a movie (on headphones) and it cooled my entire apartment with my front door open. The base is very heavy so I don't understand where someone said the top is too heavy for the base. You need to insert the stand into the base/stand, which I found out when assembling the assembled fan. I fixed the problem and now there is no problem. I have two Vornado fans but this Pelonis replaces both of them. I probably won't use it in my bedroom at night because it will be too cold in the room. I bought this fan because I live in Southern California and I know how hot summers can be. I haven't used the remote yet. I just want it not to beep when I change settings. I hope this lasts long.
