Review on Dayton Audio DTA-2 Digital πŸ”Š Audio Amplifier Module with Class D Technology by Jennifer Mounce

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The price is attraction.

This is a bargain if all you want is sound and efficiency. Don't forget that this is basically a Class D amplifier, so your choice and speaker connection is a big factor in sound quality. On a purely practical, physical level, I think someone fell asleep at the wheel in the design phase: the fasteners are really lame, in fact there aren't any. 2 custom sized holes in the middle of the board will not fit. Oh, don't even try to pull out that 10x or 20x magnifying glass to try and read the chart on the included page. You'll probably want it if the odd volume control doesn't suit your needs. However, it amplifies audio signals and has the advantages of a Cl.D amplifier and also runs on 12V DC. A good choice for a DIY project for something battery powered.
