It's garbage. on Motorcycle & Powersports

Installed this carb with the expectation that the engine would at least tip over. Vain. After playing with it for half a day, I decided to clean and reinstall the old carburetor. The old carburetor worked fine warmed up, but not at idle. So I decided to take the old one apart again and clean the slow jet, thinking maybe the only saving grace would be that I could use the new carburetor as a spare. I was partly right. Part #16016-HM7-670 comes with two o-rings and a metal washer. The new carburetor came with a screw and spring, no o-rings. I used a bowl gasket, some primer, some mounting screws and some clamps. Other things: The overflow pipe is taller than the OEM for the '99 trx450. . The end is not reamed, so the hole is smaller. There are 2 carburetor vents instead of one on the 99. No air shut off valve assembly or holes for air shut off valve assembly. The throttle needle is a solid piece of brass. without sealing ring. I replaced the factory throttle needle to run it for troubleshooting. I'm sure with any significant use it will likely wear out. There should be a one-way valve on the overflow line, but only the fuel line was sent. Luckily I had it. Gas leaked from the carburetor overflow immediately when I opened the fuel tap and didn't stop. This was after I removed the fuel tank and fuel lines. I wouldn't buy again because of parts.
