Almost straight fit

This carb worked great on my Foreman. Just bolted on and as others have said you need to cut the wires at the heater plug and attach to the factory wiring harness. This all took about 5 minutes. After that, he started shooting and quickly earned. Excellent idle and performance - very happy with the price and quality

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Non automatic

Great product and great price!

The product arrived quickly. The installation was a perfect straight screw. The carburetor heater cable had a different connection than my old carburetor. It was easy to combine the old fork with the new braid and heat shrink to keep the water out. The quad started right up and ran smoothly. No adjustments were needed as the factory settings were perfect.

The heater connection will be different

I installed it on my 450 Honda Foreman and it didn't take long, all I had to do was buy a longer hose from the gas tank to the carburetor. And I had to cut off the connector to the heater and solder in the old connector because it's different. It caught fire with a burst of starting fluid and worked perfectly. I teased him a little.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Crumpled Packet

Caution heater wiring - mismatch

A heater connector is electrically connected to the carburetor body. Because the fittings don't mate, most people reuse the fittings from an old carburetor when replacing it. If you are not careful, you can connect the cable incorrectly and create a short through the throttle cable. The heater from the original Honda carburetor fits - simply replace with the one supplied with the carburetor. I still have trouble idling my quad; The original reason I bought a replacement carburetor. Other…

Best Value Carburetor

This carburetor was several times cheaper than the original. Well it has arrived the fuel heater plug did not match the OE plug which is annoying but not a big problem when plugging in an OE plug. Connect everything, the quad starts and runs/idles perfectly. I turn it off and notice that the throttle cable feels warm but figured it was just an accident. Assemble everything. Turn it on and let it run for a few minutes to warm up for a test ride. Squeeze the throttle cable, it doesn't move. Found

Pros
  • Rugged Construction

  • So So

It's garbage. on Motorcycle & Powersports

Installed this carb with the expectation that the engine would at least tip over. Vain. After playing with it for half a day, I decided to clean and reinstall the old carburetor. The old carburetor worked fine warmed up, but not at idle. So I decided to take the old one apart again and clean the slow jet, thinking maybe the only saving grace would be that I could use the new carburetor as a spare. I was partly right. Part #16016-HM7-670 comes with two o-rings and a metal washer. The new…
