A heater connector is electrically connected to the carburetor body. Because the fittings don't mate, most people reuse the fittings from an old carburetor when replacing it. If you are not careful, you can connect the cable incorrectly and create a short through the throttle cable. The heater from the original Honda carburetor fits - simply replace with the one supplied with the carburetor. I still have trouble idling my quad; The original reason I bought a replacement carburetor. Other reviewers have better luck, maybe I have a different problem with the motor?
