Review on 🔧 Aftermarket Carburetor by Carbhub for Honda Foreman 450 TRX450 Series (TRX450ES, TRX450FE, TRX450FM, TRX450S) 1998-2004 with Throttle Base Cover and Screw by Bhanu Hays

This carburetor was several times cheaper than the original. Well it has arrived the fuel heater plug did not match the OE plug which is annoying but not a big problem when plugging in an OE plug. Connect everything, the quad starts and runs/idles perfectly. I turn it off and notice that the throttle cable feels warm but figured it was just an accident. Assemble everything. Turn it on and let it run for a few minutes to warm up for a test ride. Squeeze the throttle cable, it doesn't move. Found that there is a short in the fuel heater, a short to ground through the throttle cable, melting of the throttle cable plating. Google the problem and find out it's a common problem with those cheap aftermarket carburetors for this quad. Now I'm going to buy and replace the throttle cable. Just unplug the fuel heater and start without it as it's not really necessary.
