As such, there are no disadvantages, it is convenient to use.

I bought a TV for a third of the price thanks to the generosity of bonuses from VTB Bank. The first thing you pay attention to when unpacking is that nowhere is it written which bolts to fasten the TV to the wall. I had to run once to amazon - for an inexpensive flat suspension, and two whole times - to Leroy Merlin, in order to accurately select the bolts (M8x45 + Grover's washer). The second thing you pay attention to when unpacking is that nowhere is it written how to “turn on the Samsung TV”. It’s impossible to read nonsense in the manual, I don’t have an extra week to read a text about a TV set of 400 pages. Hung up. Enabled. The usual video signal on the device does not look at all. Need high definition or ultra high definition. There is absolutely no preset color rendition. But maybe it's because I'm used to sitting in front of professional monitors all day long, clearly calibrated by a professional calibrator. Here you need to turn on the “cinema” mode and then tweak a little (sharpness, clarity). The TV was very pleased with the ability to manually adjust the color reproduction. True, the setting here is three-color, and not eight-color, as it should be for computer monitors. But this requires a calibrator. The task is not trivial, in any case, does not yet know what a “TV calibrator” is. Monitor calibrators have been produced for some time with the option to tune TVs. I once ordered a calibrator from London. I saw on YouTube how the craftsmen adapted to adjust the equipment with monitor calibrators indirectly, through measurements on a black and white field with the derivation of RGB correction factors. It will take time, perhaps I will deal with this topic during the New Year holidays. I will not connect the TV to the Internet. A regular cable is enough for me. On the other hand, I occasionally watch channels from the BBC and Dish. It's not about the pixels, but about the content of the TV stream. There is nothing to watch in 2022 at all. For this, a VPN is required, respectively, with a dedicated PC. The task is also not easy, and deserves a separate branch of the conference.

Cons
  • The potential is there, but needs to be tweaked.
