Very bright lights. Easy to install under cabinets. Daisy chain so you can have all 4 strips on one outlet.

Kitchen countertops are dark when I try to work on them because my body blocks light from the center of the room. I installed one of the fluorescent tubes under the closet lights. It was okay, but it was only about a foot long, so it only lit a small area. I really liked it so I planned to buy 3 more of these so it would take up the entire countertop. Then I realized that everyone would take an outlet. Since I have a lot of household appliances, I don't really have 4 free sockets. Luckily I stumbled across this one, at a great price and since I was only going to buy one instead of three it was so much better. He far exceeded my expectations. I blinded my husband when I first turned it on because he was looking straight at him. It's very bright. Much brighter than the fluorescent one I had before. In fact, this is 4 strips per socket with a switch. We used them along the bottom of the cabinets along one wall. If my cabinets were shorter I could use fewer of these or use 2 under a cabinet as the wires between the slats are flexible. I really like that I have multiple configuration options. My guess is that we can add even more to them and still power them from a single outlet since each part is connected to the other. I don't need this site anymore so I didn't search. Each light strip has a strip of double sided tape attached along its entire length, as well as a hole at each end if you prefer to screw it to cabinets. . So far we've only used duct tape, but as I have a toaster oven and coffee maker underneath I'm not sure the duct tape will withstand the heat and humidity. If they fall, we just screw them up. They're very light, so I'm not worried about damaging anything if they fall off. I think the previous lamp weighed a few pounds so we had to screw it to the cabinets. I love it when products give you options like this. My husband found a "problem" that doesn't really matter and might be related to something he did wrong, but I'm not sure. At first he wanted to screw it in, but found that the double-sided tape on the back prevented the punched tab from sticking to the case, and when he tried to screw it in, the tab broke. He thought he might need to take the tape off so it's flat. I would just use a small rubber washer/spacer between the tongue and the body. Since they are LED they should last a very long time. I've read that LED bulbs last thousands of hours, but I don't have enough experience to say if this is true or not. They are so cost effective that they easily pay for themselves even if they only last a few years.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
