As far as hand blenders go, this one is great. It's built tough, easy to clean and has a power of 500w. For the price it's fantastic. I've used it for several soups and it mixed everything I put in front of it. As for whisks, this is overkill for some tasks. Even at the lowest speed will froth your eggs or blow up more delicate foods that might need a little more finesse. To be honest I don't quite understand why there is a whisk attachment as the mixer itself is more than worth the price. However, the first thing you buy here is a hand blender, and for that you really can't beat it. quality and price.
