On a business trip in 2015, I was at the airport and saw a fellow passenger with a smart, thin travel monitor plugged into the USB port on her laptop. We had a brief chat about this amazing ASUS portable monitor and she laughed as she told me how many times she could sell it to another business traveler and how she would make a fortune on the sale commission. I ordered my first ASUS travel monitor right at the airport through Revain. This monitor has traveled the world with me and has never let me down. And I too could earn tons of commissions by recommending this amazingly useful technology to other business travelers, friends and family members. In 2019 my amazing monitor died in an unprovoked dog fight. The monitor was in a suitcase, leaning against the wall on a table. Our beloved Great Dane slammed her 125-pound body on the table and knocked the encased monitor to the floor just as I lunged forward for a cup of coffee in the air. The good news was that the dog, the coffee cup and I were unharmed, but I stepped on the monitor and smashed the screen. It's never been the same, but the neighbor's college daughter still uses it (tears/stripes and all). A few weeks later I ordered this ASUS travel monitor again with the same specs as the one I bought. in 2015. It's August 2021 and this is the monitor I traveled with (pre-COVID) and have been using at work from home ever since. He works non-stop 10-14 hours a day, 5-6 days a week with no problems. It's lightweight - doesn't strain your back and shoulders when traveling. It's slim - slips easily into a pocket in your laptop bag and can be folded and stored away when not in use. It's reliable - excellent resolution for an average of 12 hours a day for many years to come. It receives data and is powered by a single USB 3 cable connected to a laptop unmatched for portability and convenience. The case doubles as a monitor stand and is the only monitor stand I've used with it since day one. This is the best long-term engineering investment.
