Review on Blue Echo Solutions' hd πŸ”’ EZ Lock Universal HDMI Lock in Black by Shawn Parker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They do a good job of holding my relatively heavy HDMI cables in place.

Ever since I switched to HDMI I've had nothing but loose connections and I highly recommend using Blue Echo Solutions hd EZ lock Universal Locking HDMI Cable Adapters. They work best with AV components that have a screw above or below the HDMI port and hold my relatively heavy/stiff (DH Labs) HDMI cables in place well. (Without the HD EZ lock, the cables will simply rip out under their own weight.) Installation is fairly easy, and most importantly, fully reversible. I only used the screw attachment method, which means removing the existing M3 screw from your AV components. I have not used the glue method, nor is it necessary. The two main parts of the HD EZ lock are the mounting adapter and the main body. Both are made of black molded nylon and will not scratch devices or damage HDMI ports. The other components are metal screws. The mounting adapter attaches to your AV component with a new M3 screw. The main body fits over the HDMI port and should fit HDMI ports up to 7/16" and 7/8" in height. wide. It attaches to a mounting adapter and has a threaded brass insert for a screw that clips onto the HDMI connector. This screw does not make direct contact with the HDMI connector itself, so it does not mark it. An HD EZ Lock comes with two small 6/32" screws, a longer screw (3/8") for HDMI ports up to 5/16" in height, and a shorter screw (1/4") supplied for these 5 connections. /16" and above. Both the 6/32" screw and the M3 screw are installed and adjusted with the supplied hex keys. Now I'm glad to have locks installed on my receiver, Blu-ray player and DirecTV DVR.
