Small mistakes became $250

Final edit: March 8, 2017 See the small cage? This. It falls short compared to the new one that cost me $250 because it just couldn't meet my needs. As I said, at first this product was my dream come true, but over time, design flaws outweighed it, forcing me to spend extra time I don't have and extra work that could have been avoided. I have 3 ferrets, I clean the cage every other day, this cage made cleaning a nightmare. There is no top tray at first, my ferrets choose to do their business on whatever floor they want, including the top ones - you can imagine what happens next. Since there is no top tray, all of their feces and urine get into cracks and crevices that I can't even reach with a nozzle and accumulate, becoming unsanitary and smelly. A terrible weldment covering the entire left side of the cage prevented me from cleaning up the left side mess. To clean up this mess, I had to pull out the bottom shelf to get to it every time - totally unnecessary. I'm sure some of you think I'm picky, but cleaning this thing every other day is getting tiresome. The new cage is a Ferret Nation cage and offers protective gear for purchase, just what this cage needed. In addition to lower and upper shelves for easy cleaning, plastic wheels that don't leave black rubber marks like the Prevue cage, and doors that open on both sides, it's a lot more spacious. Oh, and see all that little cage shit? That's because the bottom (storage) shelf of the Prevue cage barely fit anything because it was so tiny - time to move my stuff and enjoy a lighter, tidier, less labor-intensive and cleaner experience. Original: First, let me say, thanks to this cage, I can now sleep again. My last cage, my ferret ran away all the time (she's actually very smart) and in her whole life she can't find a place to get out of this cage. Advantages: very spacious, easy to clean, ferret can't escape, easy to move. Well while it's not a huge list it's pretty much all I really want, as long as my ferret is comfortable, happy and can't run away I'm happy! The Bad: Every time I roll this cage I leave black marks on the floor that are easy to remove but still annoying. The doors only open on one side, my ferrets like to do their thing in the far corner where I can't reach. I have pretty short arms so that's a problem for me. It doesn't come with trays for her poop and pee, so often it comes right out of the cage and leaves poop and pee on my floor. both cage sides and wheels. The central ramp that connects the upper and lower floors can be easily demolished. My ferrets knock him down all the time (not on purpose). I had to leave town for 2 days and came back when the ramp was knocked over and my ferret got stuck on the top floor with no access to the food (which is on the bottom floor and positioned to stay active). I ignore the cons because I don't mind trying my best to make sure everything stays in good working order, but it's something I avoid doing things that can easily be done a little bit better could. EDIT: February 6th, 2017, I currently have 3 ferrets, 2 boys and 1 girl. I still have the horrible problem of my ferrets being cornered and their poop coming right out of the cage. Disgusting. The cage is easy to clean when the poop is hard, 2 younger ferrets have thicker poop and are very difficult to clean as they get caught in the cracks in the cage and not easy to reach to clean these areas. The junk coming out of the cage gets onto the wheels making the metal parts of the wheels absolutely gross. I am still struggling to get to the far left side of the cage as it is a cage that only opens on one side. And my ferrets smack down the middle ramp without hesitation, I honestly think they're doing it on purpose now, but that's still not the best design. I still love the cage but I'm looking to get another cage soon.
