I've waited a while to write this review to make sure I don't run into any issues over time. When I bought the mount there were no reviews and I took a chance. I'm happy to report that the mount held up with no issues. I installed a Uniden R1 radar detector in my 2018 Audi Q7. My biggest concern was that the mount vibrated loose and scratched my mirror stem, or the whole thing fell down and scratched the dashboard, it didn't happen. The bracket holds the metal detector securely, I drove long trips (several hundred kilometers) without any problems. The only complaint I have is the screws that come with the bracket that actually mount to the mirror stand. They look a bit cheap, but given the price and the only other comparable option (no suction cup) is a $100 BlendMount. , I can not complain.
