The reason for the lack of stars is that the waist is not elastic, it is firmly sewn and does NOT stretch. My 4 year old daughter got loose on the size SMALL which is suitable for 6-7 year olds. She is tall but skinny as a pole. It was a wrench to put both hands through the holes to tighten. I am absolutely thrilled that a baby dress can be designed like this without any additional cutouts or closures. We ordered a different style maxi dress from another seller and it was exactly what I expected with an elasticated waist.
