To be honest I was very skeptical about this product. I've seen the ad several times but thought it was complete nonsense. I also have OCD, so having dog hair from three Rottweilers on my couch is driving me nuts. I bought this spray hoping it would make cleaning my couch easier. I first tried it on my daughter's pair of converse shoes as it's better to ruin than the couch. I sprayed the shoes on according to the instructions and let it work for 24 hours. To my surprise, the outer part of the shoe was completely waterproof and the white part of the shoe had absolutely no odor or discoloration. Now I'm convinced and will use it for my sofa. In fact, I will buy more so I have new shoes or clothes on hand that I want to protect. I'll probably spray the seats in the car too. This product is amazing
