This camera is a great way to install motion detection cameras in places where there are no power outlets. Super easy to install and set up. Excellent image quality and excellent range. However, it is by no means capable of recognizing human figures. Picks up horses, cars and cats. Sometimes wasps, and I have a very cute clip of a bird. To keep an eye on my stable I had to switch to active cameras and a DVR; Luckily there was an outlet so I could. Battery life could be better, although I can't help but ignore the directions to keep it away from high-traffic areas. I will have to avoid the main driveway to my house, which would be inconvenient. I would also recommend turning off motion detection when the camera is pointed at trees on a windy day.
