If you have the tools, it will take 10 minutes. Just follow the instructions in the brochure to boot into recovery mode and get back to work. Replaced a pathetic 128GB drive on my MacBook Air and was finally able to install Big Sur. This laptop is getting old, but this drive was a cheap and easy upgrade that will help me extend its life. No complaints at all.
