Bought this for my ten year old daughter and she LOVES it! It is made of sports material. She also likes that it has thumb holes. She said they were good because the two sides of the hole overlapped a bit instead of just opening up in a straight line with no overlap (like a loop would do). It's also just long enough past the thumb hole so that it covers most of the hand, not just the wrist. Excellent purchase!
