Okay, first things first, about 1.5% of people develop an allergy to PPD (p-phenylenediamine) over time. This product, like most permanent hair colors, contains PPD. If you already have a rash from other products like Just For Men, this is also likely to trigger the rash. Try a PPD-free product like Madison Reed Mr. Anyway, my hair is sandy brown with a light brown undertone. This is an unusual color that fades after a day in the sun, and every woman decides that this is a different color. Unfortunately they also gray around the temples and when I started wearing them longer due to the pandemic I really liked the new style but the gray I always cropped short grew too. First I tried Control GX Light Shades. about a week and it seemed to be working, albeit slowly. (Enough for a few women to be suspicious.) However, it smells pretty bad, it probably changes my normal hair color faster, and the shampoo washes my hair out a lot. So I switched to this Cremo product. Based on the pics here, I tried 07 Light Medium Brown after my new cut. Instead of applying it all over my hair, I used the applicator to apply it evenly and thinly to my temples and behind my ears, then answered a few work emails before jumping in the shower to wash it off. Five minutes passed and I immediately noticed that it smelled like paint, not shaving cream. Most importantly, the color looked great. My hairline looked like it had advanced 20cm at the temples just because the finest gray hairs were darkening and becoming visible again and - probably because I wasn't that crazy about it - it looked very natural and blended with my eyes. The hair was still soft and healthy. After about a month it turned out that my natural hair - without the Control GX treatment - was definitely lighter and I switched to 06 Light Brown. I still find this color a shade or two darker than the samples in the description, but it is easy to care for and the product does what it promises. I really wish they would come out with a shade 05 similar to the "dark blonde" some competing products sell that would probably match my natural color better.
