Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Proforged 4WD Greasable Idler Arm Bracket Assembly - Model 102-10029 by Chris Cruz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great part of the update!

Installed this bracket assembly with heavy duty proforged bellcrank and opener. Fantastic upgrade on my 1999 K1500 Suburban as a plan to avoid having to replace these parts due to poor initial suspension/steering design. These parts are precision made and look better than similar Moog parts. I will also be installing a steering stabilizer as I have a 2.5 inch lift kit on my truck. In the near future I will also replace my steering gear. So far, so good. Drove 11 hours round trip to Philmont. Scout Ranch and still a big improvement. The extra money compared to Moog parts is worth it in my opinion because I've heard that the quality of Moog parts has declined over the last 5 years.

Pros
  • WHAT IS A HINGE ARM? The intermediate lever is part of your vehicle's steering system. It connects to the center link for support and rotates as the wheels spin. Tension arms have a wear joint, just like your hip, and it needs to be replaced when it wears out. A worn intermediate lever reduces handling and makes it difficult or impossible to fall, which leads to rapid tire wear. Replacing a worn intermediate link leads to a noticeable improvement in steering feel, handling and safety.
