Review on 🚪 BarksBar Original Dog Door - White, Plastic with Aluminum Lining, Soft Flap, Sliding Panel and Telescoping Frame, 2-Way Locking by Denise Berry

Pros: VERY cheap price especially compared to others on the market. Looks very good. Feels very durable. on 2 doors of the house, both used by a 60 lb dog. Cons: None yet, but to date (02/21/17) the door has been used for 24 hours. The reason I can't give this 5 stars is because I can't vouch for the durability of the product as it hasn't been exposed to the elements and has only been used 24 hours so I can't say for sure how durable it will be is. Also, and very slightly, one of the doors had a bent corner when we took it out of the box (not plastic, but metal glued to plastic, which is a very nice aesthetic touch by the way). This is by no means an important point, but would like to mention it in case the founder/owner of the company wants to improve the packaging process at all; and the metal corner is very sharp. I have attached 2 photos of the bent corner. Simple fix, just bent in place and a few drops of crazy glue under the metal worked like a charm. Here's what I can say for sure: looks well installed, feels very solid, 6 screws fit perfectly if you follow the instructions, love the plastic magnetic door, the latch insert fits like a dream and our 12 year old dog uses it already no problems. I definitely recommend this product to everyone just because of the price. However, the price is just one of the many advantages of this product. Thank you for a quality product at an incredible price. 02/17/18 - UPDATE: The gates have now been operational for over a year. 2 dogs, a 65 lb Lab and a very hyperactive 105 lb Lab use them many times a day and the 105 lb Lab beats them constantly. They are very wear-resistant, but after a year both plastic doors broke (one door to the outside and the other from the house to the garage). I live in Colorado and the winters are harsh, as is the abuse from the big lab. The great thing is that replacement shields are only $10 each (if available) and are easy to remove and install new ones. Literally takes 5 minutes. I was also able to personally email one of the founders of Barks Bar and can tell you that if they had a 10 star rating I would give this product and company 10 stars. It is very rare to find customer service like I have found and I want to say a personal thank you. In fact, I increased my star rating from 4 to 5.
