Review on ๐Ÿ”‘ Top-Quality Replacement Key Fob for 2008-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee & 2008-2010 Jeep Commander: Bestha Keyless Entry Remote by Kyle Ahmed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product and great price

I have two 2008 and 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokees. The 2010 key fob was missing a contact washer for the tailgate button, so my tailgate has never worked remotely since I've owned the car. (I suspect the previous owner lost the contact disc when changing the battery. Anyone who has ever opened one of these key fobs knows what I'm talking about). how long the adhesive repair can last if it needs to be put into service for a long time. I honestly ordered this product for parts as the price was much better than the other products listed. When it arrived it appeared to be a good quality piece and for fun I thought I'd try programming it for my 2008 without expecting it to work. (By the way, 2010 and newer models and 2008 and 2009 models with ignition recall don't allow you to program your own keys.) To my surprise, the key fob was easy to program and worked perfectly, except the tailgate button didn't work. I opened the key fob, removed the contact washer and used it on my 2010 key fob and it now has a working tailgate button. The key fob I bought works great with my 2008 except it doesn't remotely open the tailgate. However, thanks to the refurbished case, I no longer have to worry about long-term backup of my 2008s. Although the tailgate button on the Bestha remote didn't work, I still gave it five stars because of the price. For me this was the perfect solution to both of my remote problems, simple and inexpensive. This has saved me hundreds of dollars off the retail price.

Pros
  • Note: 2 work phobics are needed to program yourself. Otherwise, a trip to the dealer or locksmith is required. Complete keyless remote control with electronic circuit board and battery. New, unused spare part.
Cons
  • Was damaged
