I saw a video on YouTube with tips about cheap welders, such as: The poster recommended replacing the normal tip (which is intended for the gas bubble and not the resin core) with a sharper tip like this so you can see better when welding. Works great. Screwed directly onto the HF welding gun and I have no regrets. I use Contesco gel (http://amzn.to/2GljXLV) on the tip to try to keep it (since it's only plastic) but given my light use and the fact that they come in two packs are delivered, they are great for me.
