I attached these buckles to the straps on my cheap bike rack. The straps are extra long from the post mounting straps which I threaded through the wheels and around the bike frame for added security to keep my bike secure in the car and prevent it from dangling. These buckles help secure the bike to the rack, preventing the straps from dangling and speeding up the process of attaching everything. And thanks to this, I don't have to buy additional elastic cords, which I had to replace after losing them.
