I drive a 2005 Subaru that does not have built in Bluetooth. I bought this transmitter because I wanted to be able to make hands-free calls and play music from my smartphone through the car speakers. This transmitter works flawlessly and is easy to set up. It also has built-in charging slots, so you don't have to remove the transmitter when you need to charge your device from the cigarette lighter. Calls and music are clear and when calling, the person on the other end can hear me well too. One aspect of the transmitter that could use improvement is the layout of the controls. Because the controls are on the side of the device, it's difficult to access the controls when the cigarette lighter is positioned so that the transmitter is pointing horizontally rather than vertically. Something to keep in mind when considering whether or not to buy this type of transmitter, but if it works with your car's layout then this is another great product from Syncwire.
