I spent several weeks researching just about every other ball joint available for the XJ and finally settled on them based on the manufacturing process and the company's reputation. Ball joints arrived a day before I expected them, BONUS! However, after installation, I found that the needlepoint lubrication circus design is cumbersome and difficult to manage. Not only did I find it much easier to fit a standard inflating compass, but when I replaced it with a lower profile compass as a cap, one of them broke off. I've done this procedure a hundred times and never tried so hard that one of the included circuses broke in half. Good upgrade from worn OEM ball joints. But one caveat. You will need a needle point for your grease gun and/or have a good selection of lubes on hand to replace those supplied.
