Light. So far, so good.

1999 Jeep Wrangler. Installed it with no problems. A grease needle is required to lubricate the lower pivots. I've only ridden it about 100km so far. Will update after 3000.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Works great on my 98 XJ

Works great on my 98 XJ. I run 33" x 13.5" Supper Swooshers and they hold up well for some abuse. The jeep is primarily used off-road with a tag to get to and from the trails. I like that they can be smeared and feel good after about a year.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • poorly thought out

DO NOT BUY! - Replacement Parts

I purchased and installed these on my TJ with 33" tires last March. Rode them about 3,000 miles without going off-road. They called the store and said they couldn't adjust my jeep because of the play in the ball joints. I brought the jeep home and indeed there is a lot of up and down play in all 4 joints. I expected more from Alloy USA but I think I was wrong to trust them. DO NOT BUY THESE BALL JOINTS!

Pros
  • Includes Hardware
Cons
  • Quick Guide

Forget Alloy USA, use Synergy. They are worth the extra money!

Installed on one side today. I removed the bolt on top and can't get the flush fitting to pick up lube. So aggravated at this moment. I just ordered a new set from Synergy. Everyone on Jeep forums recommends them. I wish I could do a little more research before even spending any money. Delivery was quick and excellent.

  • Exclusive Threaded Preload System

these things suck all around

I drove 500 miles with these ball joints and they popped. for the amount of labor required to swap out parts, not to mention the price. You would think they would last 500+ miles, but they don't. Not to mention that the fittings on the lower ports cannot be serviced or lubricated. Save money and use Mood or tere flex. Shoot autozones, Duralast will probably outperform these pieces of junk.

Pros
  • Steel construction
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other pickaxes

Great upgrade! but watch out.

I spent several weeks researching just about every other ball joint available for the XJ and finally settled on them based on the manufacturing process and the company's reputation. Ball joints arrived a day before I expected them, BONUS! However, after installation, I found that the needlepoint lubrication circus design is cumbersome and difficult to manage. Not only did I find it much easier to fit a standard inflating compass, but when I replaced it with a lower profile compass as a cap, one
