The seat pane on my old American Standard toilet was badly warped causing a terrible ghost flush. We couldn't find an AS part locally, so instead we bought a red Everbilt seatpost made for AS at Home Depot. Although the design is identical and the phantom purge was less common, the leak has not been completely eliminated. After seeing this piece on Revain I decided to give it a try and I'm happy to say it worked! The $6 price tag is almost double the price of the drives at Home Depot, but I know they'll pay for themselves over time. We'll see if it holds up well or needs to be replaced quickly, but for now I'm very happy! Photos: left - original seat pan, center - replacement from Home Depot, right - this from Revain. As you can see, the design differs from the product image, but it works! It's a little thinner and more flexible.
