I hired a plumber to replace a leaking toilet valve. The plumber gave me the gasket part number so I could order it and he installed it in my area on his next job. I found a great price and bought two seals from the AMAZON website. The plumber arrived today but he couldn't install the gasket. Ok what I received is NOT what is shown in the advert. This is a slip-on disc, but the image in the ad has reinforcing rubber ribs that extend to the perimeter/edge of the disc. What I got was a slice where the edges did NOT go all the way to the rim. That's what you need. This is the actual part of the American OEM standard. Soft, flexible rubber that seals perfectly. Precisely right weight to roll over properly and easily and not fall too soon. Attention! there are at least two possibilities. It has no threaded connection. If your original is identical to mine, it doesn't unscrew, so assume it's a snap-on version. Maybe it's *not* the snap-on version, it's the threaded version, and it's too corroded to unscrew. When I surgically opened mine I found a brass nut that was spinning in the plastic case when I tried to unscrew it.
