The diameter of the water pump impeller is too large to fit inside.
Water pump impeller diameter too large for engine installation. In this case, the old adage applies: you get what you pay for. It's a shame, however, that a very small extra effort in either measuring to replicate the impeller or checking the reseller to see if their product is worth it would go a long way.
