Works as advertised!

Excellent product as advertised. I use it to connect some baskets I made from several charcoal boxes to my bike. My old rack had a platform and it was easy, but my new rack uses tubes so I had to get creative. I haven't traveled very far so far, the main thing that worries me is the compression over time. I basically wrap the pipes until they are big enough for a 1/2 inch pipe tape to work so he baskets crushes him. I'll update it once I've ridden a few miles with baskets. In any case, it is a special application. I messed up the wrapping and had to take it off which was easy and after it was off I tried to pull the layers apart but now it's basically a piece of silicone that should do it. one star because it is quite expensive compared to other silicone strap manufacturers. I bought some Tommy Tape, a 6 pack set, and upon delivery it was about $3.60 for a roll, 10ft versus 12ft for the rescue, but still a lot cheaper. They will be a random color but even if they are all pink, which is what I use them for on my bike, it doesn't matter as it will cover everything anyway.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Sun-Sun
