I need a small portable vacuum cleaner to remove dust and small dirt from counters so I have a separate tool for cleaning canteens and work surfaces as one canister vacuum cleaner. Loved the look of this one but just lacks the suction power for it. The first few passes worked decently, but after that there wasn't any real suction, even after I cleaned the insides. Basically, nothing is collected unless you create a seal with a hole, which is tricky given the shape. I'm not sure if I just have a defective device or what. In addition, the valve at the opening that prevents the collected dirt from falling out of the bin also seems to prevent almost anything from going into the bin. So basically the dirt swirls around the hole when I turn it on and as soon as I turn it off it falls back onto the surface I was trying to clean.
