Aquarium parameters were good and my angelfish flickered on the aquarium decor and suffocated near the surface with red inflamed gills. They also made a "chewing gum" motion with their mouths (indicating gill problems). I did a treatment as directed and the fish became less lethargic and seemed to be breathing better. The life cycle of a leech is three weeks or more, so I plan on doing at least three treatments. This is the only thing I disagree with in the instructions for the drug. The manufacturer says that you can achieve success after one treatment. But I believe if you want to eradicate leeches you need to treat them throughout their life cycle. I also like that it comes in liquid form, making it easy to dose.
