I just got a pair of these so can't comment on durability but I give the product five stars for its color temperature and brightness. We ordered a beautiful modern square vanity mirror from Overstock, with built-in lighting behind frosted panels in the mirror. We first tried a couple of 55 watt bulbs which were WAY too bright and a very yellow tint - typical of old/cheap fluorescent bulbs. We then ordered a pair of Philips PL-L 4P 36W/830 bulbs from Revain which were a big improvement but were still a little yellow/green and still too bright compared to these 24W Sunlite bulbs. Everything in our bathroom is white, white tiles on the walls, white tiles on the floor and all the plumbing is white. Thus, with this socket as the main light source, it is easy to read the temperature on the bulbs. I also think they are the most accurate skin tones I've seen with fluorescent colors. A note on the length - it seems that the lower the power of lamps of this type, the shorter the lamp. So they don't fill our mirror as much as 36W, and 36W was shorter than 55W. That could be a potential issue worth considering. I've posted a photo here of how they look in our dressing table, I think even 6-8 inches shorter than the longest option they still look amazing.
