I bought these because I like plastic clogs for gardening but when I'm clearing our stream the clogs make my foot slip as I balance on the bank trying to picking up rubbish and the like. I want shoes that protect my feet, have good soles for better grip on slippery slopes, and dry quickly when I'm done. These shoes do just that. The fit was *a little* tight. I wear a size 10 and have very little room left at the end of the box. So, socks with them, most likely, will not suit me, but mainly I will use them in the summer. If you like looser shoes, you might want to double them up to full size. Otherwise they are exactly as I expected them to be. I wouldn't use them for walking barefoot, and in any case it will take a few times for the plastic to relax and "form right" after it's in the tote. Would buy again.
