I used to use a Dremel. They are useful for what you need. This spinning tool is a whole different beast. Your tips and attachments should now work in this cartridge. Perfomance. Much more than any Dremel. With foot pedal for speed control. I understand that this is a copy of much more expensive branded instruments. For the price it seems perfect to me. I don't know what the difference in quality is, but this works great for me. Where the fountain pen gets stuck, this model continues to grind/work. I hope it lasts as long as the brand. Too new to know****February 2021****I have to say I'm really glad I spent the money on the Dremel. Based on my photos I used it to tweak/carve wood. Also cut, grind, grind, polish on Kydex. If you can clamp it like a vise, it's about as good as a bench grinder (almost). There are no problems yet. And the seller promptly answered my questions about branded parts compatibility.
