I read a review from someone who bought a size 14 for their 10 year old girl so I ordered my size 16 for my 14 year old Child abandoned only to find it too big. I am an average size 14 and will reorder a size 14. (My son loves the style, the logo.) They may have resized the product since this reviewer commented. In April 2015 he is NOT working a bit. That corresponds to the size.
