If you're buying to connect an external hard drive or other device to your Mac Book Pro, forget it. This temporarily messed everything up on my Mac. I lost internet after losing Safari and Gmail. It wasn't instant. At first it seemed that everything was connected normally. So I wrestled with the issues for two hours, seeking advice and using other devices to try and figure out what was going on. I am slow! I should have immediately identified the new connection as the cause. I hope this review helps at least one person.
