I installed a new clutch on a 2002 R1, it was very easy and the kit had the plates removed and the 'wire' holding the original one design had. What annoyed me a little was that I had everything assembled and the clutch slipped from 7000 rpm. It turns out that the diaphragm spring is not strong enough. So I removed the rear end and installed a factory spring which cost me the clutch cover gaskets. When I did that, the clutch didn't slip. I rode the bike over 300 miles and it was great. I would give it 5 stars if it had a better spring and I didn't have to disassemble it. I would recommend this to anyone who knows how to use an OEM spring.
